So don't sing love songs, you'll wake my mother, She's lying here, right by my side, And in her right hand, a silver dagger, She says that I can't be your bride. All men are false, so says my mother, They'll tell you evil wicked lies, And then the next day, they'll court another Leave you alone to pine and sigh. My daddy is a handsome devil, he's got a chain that's five miles long, On every link a heart does dangle, Of another maiden he's loved and wronged. So go and court another maiden, And hope that she will be your wife, For I've been warned and I've decided, To sleep alone all of my life. So don't sing love songs, you'll wake my mother, She's lying here, right by my side, And in her right hand, a silver dagger, She says that I can't be your bride.

Summers Sun 02:05
Summers sun came raining down To light the day in dawning Now's the time to start afresh This bright July day morning Autumn reds grow warm and near Russet hues a blushing Soon the time for chestnuts roasting Velvet shells a falling Summers sun came raining down To light the days each morning Crisper nights ahead await The twilight lights the warning Winters frost a creeping comes Her fingers wrap the sunrise Chokes the day back in to night Light withdrawn from our eyes Summers middays seem long passed The birds have ceased their calling All we do is look ahead To when the days start warming With the spring the frost recedes Breezes bear the blossom Leaves unfurl on bush and tree Streams and brooks unfrozen Summers sun came raining down To light the day in dawning Now's the time to start afresh This bright July day morning

Beth and Anna play traditional tunes with a contemporary twist, and have just released.
