Summers sun came raining down
To light the day in dawning
Now's the time to start afresh
This bright July day morning
Autumn reds grow warm and near
Russet hues a blushing
Soon the time for chestnuts roasting
Velvet shells a falling
Summers sun came raining down
To light the days each morning
Crisper nights ahead await
The twilight lights the warning
Winters frost a creeping comes
Her fingers wrap the sunrise
Chokes the day back in to night
Light withdrawn from our eyes
Summers middays seem long passed
The birds have ceased their calling
All we do is look ahead
To when the days start warming
With the spring the frost recedes
Breezes bear the blossom
Leaves unfurl on bush and tree
Streams and brooks unfrozen

Anna (Violin) and Beth (Viola) met whilst studying at Birmingham Conservatoire as members of Joe Broughton's Conservatoire
Folk Ensemble.
Bonding over a shared love of tea, cake and traditional tunes, they have performed together as a group on the Folk Ensemble's tours over the last two years.
Beth and Anna play traditional tunes with a contemporary twist, and have just released.
